Cinnamon's Geriatric PT Program

By about 2 p.m. I had my fill of these lazy dogs. I don't care if they were elderly or not... they NEEDED EXERCISE. If I hadn't done something they would have slept all day. Now it isn't enough to eat a low-calorie, healthy diet... you MUST exercise too. That's why I take my owner to the dog park. It's good for her. (And, believe me, she's old too!)

But back to my charges, Remi and Indy. I was really miffed when they wouldn't come outside and play with me. So I spent some time at the computer developing a geriatric fitness program for them.

It was a three part program:

1. Strengthening with Weights. I thought Indy would benefit from some strengthening since she had ACL surgery. She disagreed.
"You want me to do what?"
2. Running. Running is good for the heart rate. I didn't get much cooperation when it came to running.
Remi and Indy are ignoring me. DROP AND GIVE ME 10!
3. Ball Play. Now that is something both Indy and Remi are interested in. My goal for them is to increase their stamina. Right now they dash after a few balls and then give up and want to go in and lay down again.

Now I have punishment for dogs that don't participate in PT. I am their Personal Trainer and I must be tough. Right now I punish them by making them do push ups. Problem is, they just lie down in the grass and don't do the push ups. But I won't give up. It has only been the first day of their fitness program.
Remi and Indy: If you want to look like me you must work for it!
MORE PT DRILL SERGEANT .... TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY.

"If you want to look like me, you must work out!".... Cinnamon

  1. You sound like a tough trainer, Cinnamon. But I bet you have those dogs in shape in no time at all!
