It seems like every day is National "Something."
But today is a great day for me, Cinnamon the Pet. It is National Pet Day!
Launched in 2005, the observance aims to celebrate “the joy
pets bring to our lives and to create public awareness about the plight of many
different kinds of animals awaiting a forever home in shelters all across the
nation,” according to the website petdayusa.com.
You all know I was a shelter dog once. Now I am an Urban
Coonhound and have a great life. I have to work as a blogging coonhound and
guard the backyard but other than that I get to lie around and be petted.
I think today, National Pet Day, would be a great day to go
to the Dog Park!
