Here's the den. The forbidden chair is the green one on the right. |
And I got in trouble, too. I ran outside and barked at the neighbor cat not once, not twice, not three times. Well, you get the picture. I barked even though I didn't know if the cat was in their back yard or not. It just smelled like cat over there... reason enough to bark.
So after dinner my owner was getting ready to go spend time with her friends. I was all comfy in a marvelous sunbeam in the den. When I found out she was leaving I eyed the BIG GREEN CHAIR. THIS IS FORBIDDEN TERRITORY!
Usually when she leaves, she boots me out of the den and closes the door. Because she knows that the minute the garage door closes, I AM UP ON THE CHAIR!
She took pity on me this one time and this is what I saw. She went to the linen closet and got out a brown sheet. Then right before me eyes she put the sheet on THE FORBIDDEN CHAIR! I couldn't believe my eyes.
And after that she patted the chair and said "It's OK Cinnamon!" I climbed up onto the chair in utter disbelief. I was going to get to luxuriate in the chair all evening! I could stay in the "sunbeam room."
Here I am in the forbidden chair with a look of utter disbelief on my face. I even have one of my favorite toys with me. It's what's left of the toy Chaser, the Border Collie sent to me! |
