Puppy Watch

I've been watching the progress of Nora the rescued Bloodhound over at Urban Coonhounds. Nora is under the care of Colorado Coonhound Rescue, one of my favorite charities.

Nora gave birth to NINE puppies. NINE!

Here they are... the little babies, so new and sweet!

I'm impressed with Nora the Bloodhound!
And here's the most recent photo!
I can't stand it... they are all so cute!

Puppy Play Day at the Dog Park

Here I am romping at my favorite dog park.
I went to my favorite dog park, the one in Brush Prairie. The dandelions had grown more bright yellow flowers after the recent mowing and the day was ripe for sniffing and eating grass. When I arrived I saw quite a few dogs near the entrance. Some of them were playing. But I planned to ignore them and do my introvert thing... sniffing and eating grass.

I did pretty well but a chocolate lab puppy and a young black dog were determined to get me to play. I ignored them for the most part until we got to... THE PUPPY PLAYGROUND!

The Clark DogPaw people call it an Agility Course, but I've always thought it was a playground. Mostly I jump up on the triangle shaped platform and survey the land. But something was different today. The puppies I met were having a great time at the playground.

As I rounded the corner I decided to join them. And everyone encouraged me, Cinnamon, to re-live my puppy-hood. I started by showing them how to go into the plastic pipe and come out the other end. We ran in and out, the three of us playing hide and seek. Then my owner invited me to "jump up" on that platform and I did. The puppies hid underneath thinking I couldn't see them.

I had so much fun, I forgot I was a middle-aged dog. I started running through the other plastic pipe and up the platform and romped with the puppies.

Everyone was impressed with how agile I was (and I still say this is NOT an Agility Course). I had a great time even though I was getting tired.

I stopped sniffing and eating grass and started running and romping. Those puppies were a great influence on me. I hope I see them again.

I LOVE PUPPIES!

Forget the kitten... I WANT A CLYDESDALE! (Budweiser Commerical Video)

I thought I had a soft spot in my heart for kittens. I do want a pet, a companion. But when I saw the Budweiser Superbowl commercial this year, I was hooked..... ON CLYDESDALES!

Bed Update: B minus 2 - Think of Puppies!

Puppies, Puppies... I love Puppies!
While I am waiting (ever so long) for my bed to be delivered on the 11th, I spend most of my hours looking sad and forlorn. However, that doesn't make the delivery happen faster.

So I search the Internet and look on Facebook for things that make ME happy.

One of those things is coonie puppies! Here's a couple of pictures of Juanita's puppies. Remember, she had NINE of them!

Look at their ears.... don't you just want to pet their cute little ears?

They are getting rather cute. I suppose if I was taking care of NINE puppies I wouldn't care where I slept. I'd just want to SLEEP!
A basket FULL of puppies!

If you want to help with Juanita's birthing and puppy expenses and Beau's medical expenses, feel free to send a donation to Colorado Coonhound Rescue. I did!

Love, Cinnamon

Juanita and her puppies

Colorado Coonhound Rescue is caring for Juanita and her NINE PUPPIES! Isn't she something? If you have a few extra $$ around, I am sure it could be used for their care.

Juanita is one brave coonie!

Coonie Mom Has Tons of Puppies!

I was thinking of saving this picture for Mother's Day but I had to share it. This is Juanita. She was rescued by a Coonhound Rescue group. Last night she (and a few humans too) were up all night. She was having puppies... slowly. One was even breech.

But by this morning look at all the puppies she had! I think she is an amazing example of womanhood. She was without a family and now has more family than she could ever dream of!

This is Juanita AND ALL THOSE PUPPIES

But I remember when I had my puppies. I didn't get to keep them very long. So I wish Juanita lots of love and coonie kisses and hope she enjoys her pups as long as she can.

And I hope they all find good homes... and I hope the best home is saved for Juanita. She sure deserves it!

For Hound Dog Moms Everywhere

I, Cinnamon, am a Mom. I hope all hound moms have a great day tomorrow
It's Mother's Day. Time to celebrate your Mom or celebrate being a Mom. I, Cinnamon, am a Mom. This is a sad day for me because I don't know where my puppies are. I loved them, fed them and played with them until they went to their new homes. But I don't have their addresses.

But since I am a Mom, I think of my pups every single day and hope they think of me too. I loved your big brown eyes and soft little puppy ears. And I loved cuddling with you.

Mother's Day is tomorrow. I wish a flower truck would drive up and deliver a beautiful flower arrangement to me. I wish I would get Mother's Day cards in the mail. I wish my pups would take me out to brunch. Most of all I wish I could play with my puppies once again!

But I just have to be happy I am a Mom and happy I got to give birth to you cute puppies wherever you are.

Happy Mother's Day to ME! Happy Mother's Day to all Hound Moms!
