Dogs vs. Cats Bowl Game for an Important Cause

Not only is this ad cute, it is very meaningful. I was spayed after they picked me up off the streets of Santa Fe New Mexico. It kept me from having yet another litter of unwanted puppies (although I can't believe people would not want MY puppies!).
Here I am in New Mexico after I was Adopted (and spayed!)
You can see why all the boy dogs were after me!
You can help fund mobile clinics to help dogs like me.

The Mission of The Lucy Pet Foundation is to reduce pet overpopulation by having mobile spay/neuter clinics across the country and to support causes that benefit animal welfare.

And you can enjoy this advertisement. Cats vs. Dogs!

2015 Puppy Bowl: Root for the Coonhound Mix! Arooooo!

I'm all excited about this year's Puppy Bowl. The reason is that there is a beautiful coonhound mix puppy playing. Arroooo!

Her name is Miss Martian. I don't know why they named her that but she is really cute and smart (aren't we all?) You can see her on this video.

Isn't she cute?
She's from Tennessee and has already been adopted. Darn! I thought I might like to add her to my non-existent pack.

How can any team lose with a girl like this on their side!

Here's all you need to know about Puppy Bowl XI scheduled for Sunday. Sunday is Puppy Bowl Sunday, don'cha know?

Here it Is! The 2015 Budweiser Clydesdale Commercial

My Clydesdales did it again! A beautiful sensitive commercial featuring the puppy and the Budweiser Clydesdales. Enjoy! (And have a Bud for me!)

Wordless Wednesday: Go Daddy - Don't Make Fun of My Clydesdale Commericals

Go Daddy has no corporate ethics! I'm glad they don't host MY blog. Here's what the uproar is about... here's the GOOD story of the puppy! (sorry for adding words to Wordless Wednesday but I am MAD!)
This is from when I went to see the Clydesdales. They LOVE and care for DOGS!

It's National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

This bratty animal is celebrating today.
Yes, it's real. This truly is a whole day set aside for my arch enemy, the squirrel! So I have to appreciate those pesky little beasts that come into my yard and taunt me. But I do appreciate them and here is why:

1. Squirrels keep me alert

2. Squirrels give me something to look for when I am walking by trees.

3. Squirrels plant seeds and acorns (sometimes in my potted plants).

4. Squirrels are job security for ME

5. Squirrels are better than RATS!
Here I am smelling
where the squirrel has been

So I am going to celebrate by patrolling my yard for Squirrels. And If I see one, I will chase it away.... but not until I wish it A HAPPY SQUIRREL APPRECIATION DAY!

This is the fence the squirrels run on. I keep them out of the yard.

When a Treat is not Food

Here I am at the Washougal Dog Park
Yeah, really. Sometimes treats are not food and I, Cinnamon, love ALL KINDS OF TREATS!

I have to start by telling you that I was naughty last night. My owner was away and I slinked into the living room and hopped up on the couch to sleep. I know I'm not supposed to do that. I would never do that when she is looking. But, heck, she was gone! So I didn't expect much today. I thought I'd still be in trouble.

Turns out that she read somewhere that dogs have a short memory when it comes to behavior. So she saw no reason why I should still be in trouble when I woke up this morning. SCORE! I was off the hook for my inappropriate behavior last night.

So I knew today would be a good one... full of treats, I hoped. So I was pretty excited when I got my harness and leash on and was invited to go for a ride.

We headed out Hwy 14 to Washougal. That is always a good sign. I've walked the Dike there. I've gone to my Country Club there. And... I found a new dog park there. So I soon noticed that our destination was the latter... THE DOG PARK!

I was so excited. WHAT A WONDERFUL TREAT! I got to sniff around, meet some dogs (including 5, count them, Golden Retrievers). It's not the most scenic dog park but it will do while I wait for Lucky Dog Park to be open again.
Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy!
We did about four laps when the sun came out. ANOTHER TREAT! I couldn't wait to get home so I could sun myself in the back yard.

So far, it's been a great day!

Love, Cinnamon
